About The Position

Navigator is seeking dedicated, passionate teachers who are driven to impact the lives of traditionally underserved students. Teachers in Training receive valuable practical classroom experience while receiving theoretical expertise through enrollment in a credentialing program (outside of Navigator). Teachers in Training are supported and coached in the Navigator model and will be prepared to transition to a classroom teacher role and deliver an exceptional educational experience to every child that walks through our doors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and proof of enrollment in a Valid CA Teaching Credential Program
• Proof of ‘pass’ on CBEST
• Valid CA 30-day Teaching Credential
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Experience working with a diverse student body preferred
• Driven to obliterate the achievement gap by providing high-quality education to every student that walks through our doors, regardless of any barriers they may have faced in the past
• Committed to evolving personal teaching practices and instructional delivery in order to best serve students
