This position offers the opportunity to teach foundational courses within our Elementary and Special Education Transfer Pathway, helping students build the knowledge, skills, and professional dispositions needed to succeed in today’s diverse and evolving classrooms. In this role, you will engage future teachers in coursework that explores child growth and development, inclusive and culturally responsive practices, educational technology, literacy development, and the foundations of the profession. Through both online asynchronous instruction and limited in-person engagement (approximately one day per week on our Hutchinson or Willmar campuses), you will guide students in connecting theory to practice, supporting their development as reflective practitioners prepared to meet the needs of all learners. Courses in this pathway emphasize: Understanding the whole child—including cognitive, social-emotional, and developmental processes across varied learning contexts Creating inclusive and equitable learning environments that honor diverse backgrounds, identities, and abilities Applying evidence-based teaching practices in literacy, behavior support, and instructional design Supporting students with diverse and exceptional needs, including those receiving special education services Building strong partnerships with families and communities as essential contributors to student success This position is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in elementary or special education who are passionate about sharing their expertise, mentoring future educators, and contributing to the long-term strength of the teaching workforce.
