About The Position
This position involves developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, alongside coaching responsibilities. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. The role requires working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities, and involves frequent travel and prolonged, irregular hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
- Eligible for a valid Texas teacher certificate appropriate for teaching assignment.
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies.
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a current automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR certificate.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of four (4) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting.
- Experience as a coach in more than one sport.
