About The Position

This position involves developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, while also coaching tennis. The role requires adherence to University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations, and involves significant physical activity related to the sport. The coach will be responsible for managing athletic equipment and ensuring student safety. The position is a 187-day contract with a salary based on Pay Grade T60, plus an additional athletic stipend.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
Eligible for a valid Texas teacher certificate appropriate for teaching assignment.
General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies.
Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations.
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a current automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR certificate.
Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of four (4) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting.
Experience as a coach in more than one sport.
