The role involves providing instruction to assist students, teachers, and staff with curriculum, assessment, and best practices for sustained student achievement in career and technical pathways. A key aspect of the role is collaborating with graduation coaches to improve graduation rates and decrease dropout rates for students with disabilities. The teacher will also plan and implement professional development for special education staff, use assessment results to inform instructional strategies, and participate in IEP meetings to provide career and technical occupational input. Responsibilities include identifying students needing support, developing transition plans for postsecondary outcomes, facilitating work-based learning experiences, and coordinating career and technical assessments.
