About The Position

This is an anticipated instructional vacancy for a high school mathematics teacher at Wesley Chapel High School in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The position is listed for the 2026–2027 school year and is scheduled for 196 days per year. It is full-time and benefit eligible. The teacher develops, plans, organizes, and implements an instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs. The teacher also follows procedures to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. The position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or approval by, or participation in, a state-approved certification pathway program. Applicants must have a valid Florida Educator’s Certificate, district-issued adjunct certification, or a valid statement of eligibility. Secondary education teachers may be required to teach an additional period beyond the base contract; if so, that period is compensated at the effective negotiated rate as a salary supplement, paid in equal installments according to the District’s payroll calendar, and counted as salary for Florida Retirement System purposes. Fingerprinting and Level II background screening are conducted through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program.
Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate, district-issued adjunct certification, or valid statement of eligibility.
Complete fingerprinting and Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
