About The Position
Buckeye Union School District is seeking a compassionate and skilled Teacher Associate to support special education students at Camerado Springs Middle School in Cameron Park, California. The role provides instructional and behavioral support, including assistance with lesson implementation and individualized education plans (IEPs), one-on-one or small-group instruction, and support for students’ academic, social, and life-skill development. The position is part-time during the school year, generally six hours per day from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., with five hours on Wednesdays from 7:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The hourly starting rate is $21.74–$23.97. Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Special Education Teacher with preparing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one or small-group instructional support to special education students.
- Monitor and document student progress and communicate concerns to the Special Education Teacher.
- Assist with classroom management and behavioral interventions as needed.
- Support students in developing social and life skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to provide comprehensive student support.
- Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records and protect the confidentiality of student information.
