About The Position
The Teacher Assistant supports integrated and self-contained preschool classrooms serving children ages 3–5. The position is based at the Clifton Park site and follows the school year, with a six-week summer program. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $16.50–$21.23 per hour, based on experience and education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Support the classroom teacher in carrying out the daily classroom routine.
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing planned daily activities while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Assist with data collection for students’ goals under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Follow all classroom New York State Next Generation Learning Standards.
