About The Position

Arc Broward is seeking an experienced Teacher Assistant to provide direct supervision, care, and instruction to preschool students ages 3–5 who have special needs. In the Afterschool program, the Teacher Assistant works as part of a dedicated team to help students with disabilities learn, grow, play, and thrive. The role provides a safe, stimulating, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment, supports hygiene and toileting as needed, and engages children in meaningful activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The position pays $17 per hour and offers 26 paid days off annually.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of professional experience working with children; experience with children with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges is preferred.
Positive, compassionate, and supportive disposition.
