About The Position

Arc Broward is seeking an experienced Teacher Assistant to provide direct supervision, care, and instruction to preschool students ages 3–5 who have special needs. The role is part of the Afterschool program and involves helping students with disabilities learn, grow, play, and thrive as a member of a dedicated team.

The Teacher Assistant helps maintain a safe, stimulating, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment, provides hygiene and toileting care as needed, and engages children in meaningful activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The position pays $17 per hour and offers 26 paid days off annually. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of professional experience working with children; experience with children with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges is preferred.
• Be a positive, compassionate, and supportive person.
