We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Teacher Assistant to join our Twaddlers and Preppers classroom as we continue to grow! If you love helping little learners explore the world, develop new skills, and reach exciting milestones, we would love to meet you! The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for two-year-old children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supporting children's social-emotional development, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and helping implement engaging learning experiences. Our ideal candidate is patient, enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about working with children during this important stage of growth and development.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- A genuine love for working with children
- CPR/First Aide
Nice To Haves
- College preferred
- Previous childcare or ECE experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines, lesson activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Provide attentive, loving care while encouraging children's independence, curiosity, and confidence.
- Support the children as they develop language, social skills, emotional regulation, and self-help abilities.
- Assist with diapering, potty-training routines, handwashing, meals, snacks, and rest time.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe classroom environment.
- Supervise children closely and follow all health, safety, and supervision procedures.
- Communicate professionally and warmly with families and team members.
- Ensure all materials and supplies are prepared for learning centers and activities.
- Follow The Learning Experience curriculum, policies, and state licensing requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and school leadership to support each child's individual needs.
