About The Position

Glassboro Child Development Centers is seeking caring and dependable Teacher Assistants to support their infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. As a Teacher Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can learn through play and exploration. This role helps young children learn, grow, and thrive every day by supporting their learning, development, and daily routines.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience working with young children
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices

Responsibilities

• Welcome children and families while helping create a warm, supportive classroom environment
• Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities
• Provide active supervision during indoor and outdoor play
• Promote the health, safety, and well-being of every child
• Assist with observing children and documenting developmental progress
• Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and meals/snacks as needed
• Support diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care routines as appropriate
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom
