About The Position

Performs paraprofessional educational work in planning, preparing, and implementing a WELA Program for young children and their families. Assists the lead teacher in a cooperative and professional manner. The position is regular full-time and located in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a child care atmosphere or similar preschool educational institution.
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field preferred, or actively working toward an associate's degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
• Must complete an associate's degree within three years of the start date.
• Certificate of Mastery (COM) certification required within twelve months.
• Food-handler permit required within two weeks.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (pediatric to adult).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stoop, bend, and lift daily.
• High level of personal integrity and ethics.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills, including traveling to conferences and training sessions.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Oklahoma School Bus Driver's License (OSBDL).
