About The Position

Assist the Head Start Teacher in implementing a preschool curriculum for children in a center-based setting. Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment for children ages 3-5.

Requirements

Associates Degree Early Childhood Education or Preschool CDA.
Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Experience is a must.
Demonstrate an understanding of everyone’s experiences, every day.
Ensuring the delivery of services that recognizes and respects that every moment matters.

Nice To Haves

Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

Support developmentally appropriate practices and Head Start Performance Standards by assisting with lesson planning, education paperwork, developmental assessments, observations, and documentation.
Promote family engagement, conduct home visits, maintain a safe and healthy environment, provide responsive caregiving, and support school readiness for children and families.
