About The Position
Performs paraprofessional educational work in planning, preparing, and implementing a WELA Program for young children and their families. Assists the lead teacher in a cooperative and professional manner. This is a regular full-time position located in Fairfax, Oklahoma.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a child care atmosphere or similar preschool educational institution.
- Must complete an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field within three years of the start date.
- Certificate of Mastery (COM) certification required within twelve months.
- Food-handler permit required within two weeks.
- Current pediatric-to-adult CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and lift daily.
- High level of personal integrity and ethics.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills, including traveling to conferences and training sessions.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
- Must pass drug and alcohol testing.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Oklahoma School Bus Driver’s License (OSBDL).
