About The Position

MAHUBE-OTWA is hiring caring individuals with strong independent initiative and excellent attendance to work in our Early Head Start M State Center as a Teacher Assistant. This role involves working with young children in an educational setting, filled with activities like education, laughter, art, stories, and hugs. Requirements

HS Diploma (or GED) plus Technical/Vocational certificate.
Must be willing to attain CDA.
Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices for the classroom is essential.
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
Basic math skills.
Ability to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
Must have basic computer skills including working with e-mail, internet, data entry, computer files, databases and/or web-based programs.
Must have valid driver's license.
DHS Net Study clearance required.

Nice To Haves

CDA and 1 to 3 years working with low-income families and/or young children preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
