Requirements

  • Equivalent of three years of administrative support experience required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of people--faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices relating to an academic environment.
  • Ability to perform and concentrate in noisy environment that involves independent judgment, accuracy, and speed.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Word, e-mail, spreadsheet, databases, and CMS.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Academic department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives visitors and telephone calls for the College of Liberal Arts College Office. Provides information as appropriate directs inquiries. Maintains appearance of offices and posted materials.
  • Processes reimbursements, travel requests, travel claims, checks fund balances and works with department personnel to make adjustments, when needed.
  • Assists the Coordinators and Supervisors with various college projects.
  • Serves as department mail clerk, and maintain office and photocopier supplies.
