About The Position

The TDS Proteins Development Analytical Development (AD) Bioassay Method Development (BMD) organization is seeking a highly motivated Co-Op to support multiple projects focused on analytical development, bioassay and cell line characterization, and Fc effector function assessment to advance the development of antibody therapeutics. This role provides hands-on experience in laboratory research, assay development, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within Innovative Medicine. Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Rising Junior or Senior preferred; Master's students will also be considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be available for the full Co-Op term and have no employment commitments that would interfere with participation in the program.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

  • Experience with laboratory techniques such as aseptic technique, cell culture, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry is preferred.
  • Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific interpretation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development of analytical platforms to improve assay sustainability and reduce dependency on commercial reagents.
  • Assisting in Host Cell Protein (HCP) characterization studies utilizing analytical techniques, including mass spectrometry and enzymatic activity assessments.
  • Characterizing bioassay cell lines through cell culture, growth rate evaluation, receptor density determination, and flow cytometry-based analyses.
  • Developing and executing cell-based and bioanalytical assays to evaluate therapeutic antibody function, including Fc effector function assessments.
  • Analyzing experimental data using analytical and statistical tools and generating data visualizations to support scientific decision-making.
  • Participating in technical discussions related to experimental design and method development.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners through regular project meetings.
  • Maintaining laboratory notebooks and technical documentation in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Supporting additional laboratory and project activities as needed.
