TCM OBD Calibration Engineer

Stellantis•Chelsea, MI

About The Position

Stellantis is seeking an On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer to develop new OBD strategies for gasoline engine control systems. The engineer will review system and software designs, generate test plans, manage vehicle, test-bench, and virtual resources, and develop and validate compliant calibrations for future propulsion system programs. The role works cross-functionally with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, vehicle, and compliance teams. The engineer will guide instrumentation of electrical and physical systems and use and review data from INCA acquisition software to verify that desired diagnostic behavior is achieved. The engineer will gather functional requirements and milestones, then plan and execute development toward on-time product launches. Projects span new and legacy technologies for gasoline-powered propulsion systems and require understanding distributed control architectures, engine and electric motor control, and interactions with energy storage and management systems. The position involves travel of 1–4 weeks throughout the year for system validation and verification. The engineer should be willing to work in vehicles and inside climatic test environments.
