TCM OBD Calibration Engineer

Stellantis•Chelsea, MI

About The Position

Stellantis' On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer develops new OBD strategies for gasoline engine control systems and develops and validates compliant calibrations for future propulsion system programs. The role reviews system and software designs, creates test plans, manages vehicle, test-bench, and virtual resources, and works cross-functionally with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, vehicle, and compliance teams. The engineer guides instrumentation of electrical and physical systems and uses and reviews data from INCA acquisition software to ensure desired diagnostic behavior. The role gathers functional requirements and milestones to plan and execute development for on-time product launches. Projects span new and legacy gasoline propulsion technologies and require understanding of distributed control architectures, engine and electric motor control, and interactions with energy storage and management systems. The position involves 1–4 weeks of travel throughout the year for system validation and verification, as well as work in vehicles and climatic test environments.
