About The Position
The School District of Palm Beach County is hiring for an elementary teaching position. Applicants recommended for employment must complete required federal, state, School Board, and employee-benefits forms and comply with District procedures and policies. The District is a drug- and alcohol-free workplace, and employment categories are subject to drug testing; some categories also require a pre-employment medical examination and medical clearance. Instructional applicants offered a teaching position must provide applicable educator certification documents, such as a Florida Educator’s Certificate, a Florida Statement of Eligibility, or valid out-of-state certification. They must also submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities from which they earned a degree. Foreign education credentials require an approved course-by-course evaluation, and credentials must be from institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The District follows School Board policies and expects employees to act in students’ best interests and support the District’s mission. Other duties may be assigned. The District encourages qualified applicants of all ethnic groups and both sexes to apply and does not discriminate on the stated protected grounds. A hiring preference is provided to prospective employees who do not use tobacco or tobacco products.
Requirements
