About The Position

As a Tax Supervisor, you will work as a key member of the Tax team, partnering with subject matter experts and senior leaders to deliver quality solutions and build strong client relationships. The role combines tax engagement leadership, complex tax return preparation and review, research, client consulting, and mentoring. You will also stay current with changes in tax law and develop your expertise through software training and professional development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
At least 5 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax.
Experience with tax planning, compliance, and research.
Strong background in tax methodologies and techniques.
Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions.
Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Licensed CPA in good standing or actively working toward passing the CPA exam.

Responsibilities

Serve as the in-charge professional on tax client engagements and deliver strategic planning projections for business clients and their owners.
Prepare complex tax returns independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review small to medium-sized tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners.
Identify and resolve tax challenges, researching key issues to support informed decisions.
Lead and mentor tax associates and seniors by overseeing workflows, evaluating progress, and providing constructive guidance and solutions.
Provide high-quality client service.
Track and adapt to evolving tax laws and changes.
Provide tailored consulting solutions for large private and public companies.
Participate in targeted software training and professional development courses.
