Our client, a respected and growing Southern California CPA firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join its tax practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to expand their leadership responsibilities while working closely with business owners, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals on tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. Requirements

• CPA or EA designation
• 4+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong California tax experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
• Knowledge of pass-through entities and business taxation
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Review individual, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal, California, and local tax regulations
• Review supporting workpapers and documentation
• Assist with tax notices and tax authority inquiries
• Maintain high standards of technical accuracy
• Assist clients with proactive tax planning strategies
• Identify tax-saving opportunities
• Research and resolve complex tax matters
• Assist with projections and consulting engagements
• Help clients navigate complex California tax issues
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Communicate directly with business owners and individuals
• Provide timely responses to client questions
• Participate in planning discussions and advisory meetings
• Deliver exceptional client service throughout the year
• Review work prepared by staff accountants and seniors
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Assist with workflow management and engagement scheduling
• Support managers and partners on larger engagements
