About The Position

As a Supervisor on the Tax team, you will work alongside accounting subject matter experts, build client relationships, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver quality solutions. The role includes leading client engagements, preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing strategic tax planning and consulting, researching tax issues, and mentoring team members. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
At least 5 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax.
Experience with tax planning, compliance, and research.
Strong background in tax methodologies and techniques.
Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions.
Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Licensed CPA in good standing or actively working toward passing the CPA exam.

Responsibilities

Perform an in-charge role on tax client engagements and deliver strategic planning projections for business clients and their owners.
Prepare complex tax returns independently, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review small to medium-sized tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners.
Identify and resolve tax challenges by researching key issues and supporting informed decisions.
Lead and mentor tax associates and seniors, oversee workflows, evaluate progress, and provide constructive guidance and solutions.
Provide high-quality service to the team and clients.
Track and adapt to evolving tax laws and changes.
Provide tailored consulting solutions for large private and public companies.
Participate in targeted software training and professional development courses.
