Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, CPA candidate (150/120 hours completed), or EA designation
  • 4–6 years of public accounting tax experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and tax research software
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills

Responsibilities

  • Review individual, partnership, S-corporation, corporate, and fiduciary tax returns
  • Assist in developing proactive tax planning strategies
  • Identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client benefits
  • Review financial statements to identify planning opportunities and areas of risk
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes
  • Build and strengthen client relationships
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and planning opportunities
  • Assist with year-round advisory discussions and tax strategy initiatives
  • Support business owners and executives as a trusted resource
  • Supervise Associates and Senior Associates
  • Review workpapers and tax returns for quality and accuracy
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development support
  • Assist with training and onboarding initiatives
  • Support developing future tax leaders within the firm
  • Conduct tax research and communicate findings
  • Assist with resolving complex tax questions and issues
  • Support estate, gift, trust, and international tax projects when applicable
  • Continue building technical expertise across multiple tax disciplines
