About The Position

LJB CPA is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Tax Staff member to work on a variety of tax-related assignments and develop tax expertise. The role assists clients and contributes to the success of the firm through tax compliance, research, planning, data analysis, documentation, and collaboration with the tax team. This is an in-office position based in the firm's Dallas office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with tax software.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Conduct tax research to help resolve complex tax issues and develop solutions for clients; stay current on tax-law and regulatory changes.
Collaborate with clients to gather tax information, answer inquiries, and provide support during tax audits and assessments.
Analyze financial documents, statements, and records to identify tax-related opportunities and challenges.
Assist with tax-planning strategies to minimize clients’ tax liabilities while maintaining compliance.
Maintain organized, accurate tax records, documentation, and workpapers to support filings and client needs.
Work with other tax team members to meet deadlines, share knowledge, and provide client service.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance tax knowledge and skills.
