About The Position

LJB CPA is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Tax Staff member to work on a range of tax-related assignments and contribute to client and firm success. The role offers opportunities to develop tax expertise and participate in professional development. It is an in-office position based in the Dallas office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Conduct tax research to help resolve complex tax issues and develop solutions for clients, while staying current on tax-law and regulatory changes.
Collaborate with clients to gather tax information, answer inquiries, and provide support during tax audits and assessments.
Analyze financial documents, statements, and records to identify tax-related opportunities and challenges.
Assist with tax-planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
Maintain organized and accurate tax records, documentation, and workpapers.
Work with tax-team members to meet deadlines, share knowledge, and deliver client service.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance tax knowledge and skills.
