About The Position

The Processing Solutions team at Compass Integrated Services is currently seeking a temporary Tax Specialist / Processor to support Texas Property Tax Certificates and related HOA information, for residential and commercial title insurance transactions. This is a remote, temporary position expected to last approximately 8–10 weeks. This position provides services to internal closing teams by monitoring incoming requests, working orders through third‑party vendor systems, and ensuring completed Tax and HOA certificates are accurately reviewed before providing for the transaction. Our Title Group is a full‑service title, settlement, underwriting, and vendor management services company serving consumers, real estate companies, affinity groups, corporations, and financial institutions in support of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with third‑party tax service providers (e.g., DataTrace, TitleLogix).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage volume‑driven work.
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or incomplete information.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to established processes and turnaround expectations.
  • Proficient with standard office technology and document management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of, or experience with, Texas Property Tax Certificates and/or HOA information strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a title, escrow, tax services, or real estate support environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor internal order queues, email inboxes, and reporting tools for new Tax Certificate and HOA Certificate requests, updates, and related inquiries.
  • Process new and update requests through approved third‑party vendor platforms (e.g., DataTrace, TitleLogix), tracking open orders through completion.
  • Review returned Tax Certificates and HOA information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to uploading to the production file.
  • Upload completed certificates and supporting documentation into internal title closing systems following established naming conventions and document standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal closing offices regarding order status, delays, corrections, or changes impacting tax or HOA information.
  • Maintain consistent service levels while managing daily production volume.
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service while supporting department service level objectives.
