About The Position

Baker Tilly is hiring a Senior Manager for its Tax Professional Practice Group (Tax PPG). The role supports the tax practice by advising professionals on professional standards and firm policies, strengthening tax quality management, monitoring risks, and enabling data-driven decisions. The position also supports integration of merged firms and evaluates AI applications to improve quality and operational effectiveness. Work location requirements should be discussed with a Baker Tilly talent acquisition professional.

Requirements

At least eight years of public accounting tax experience.
Four-year degree required.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
MBA or master’s degree.
CPA license.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Understanding of tax practice operations, engagement lifecycle, and tax quality management frameworks.
Strong technology and data analysis skills.
Strong project management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Consult with tax practice professionals on applying professional standards and firm policy requirements.
Develop executive reporting and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into quality metrics, emerging risks, and program performance.
Assist in oversight and review of tax-related client agreements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote tax quality initiatives, address quality trends, and support remediation and continuous improvement.
Work with internal operations and technology teams to align operations with tax quality policies and facilitate compliance monitoring.
Identify, evaluate, and champion practical AI use cases that improve quality, streamline activities, and enhance Tax PPG effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Support due diligence, onboarding, and integration of merged firms related to Tax PPG core responsibilities.
Perform other duties as required.
