About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal tax preparers to meet with clients, prepare tax returns, and provide friendly, professional customer service. No tax experience is required; free training is provided. The role is suited to people who are dependable, enjoy helping customers, and are willing to learn. Work is seasonal, approximately December through April, with flexible scheduling and an emphasis on nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Be dependable and hardworking.
- Be comfortable talking with and helping customers.
- Have a positive, professional attitude.
- Be willing to learn and accept coaching.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Obtain PTIN certification; PTIN registration is provided.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in retail, restaurants, hospitality, banking, reception, or another customer-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Meet one-on-one with clients to prepare tax returns.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Learn and use the tax preparation software and process.
- Help keep the office running smoothly and take initiative when needed.
