If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us! Figma’s Tax team is growing, and we’re looking for a Tax Manager to help scale and strengthen our tax operations. In this role, you’ll support core tax accounting and compliance processes while partnering cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment across the business. You’ll also contribute to process improvements and support strategic initiatives as the company grows. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of corporate tax experience in industry and/or public accounting (e.g., Big 4)
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and multistate corporate income tax compliance
  • Proficiency in ASC 740 and/or IFRS tax accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate tax concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience operating at the Tax Manager level

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee preparation of quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures
  • Review tax-related disclosures in 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings for accuracy and completeness
  • Establish and monitor internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) related to tax
  • Coordinate with external auditors on tax provision reviews and audit support
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close by preparing tax journal entries and reconciling tax-related accounts
  • Manage and review US federal, state, and local income tax filings prepared by external advisors, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manage tax audits and respond to notices
  • Contribute to tax-related projects, including planning initiatives, entity restructuring, and M&A activities
