Tax Manager
About The Position
We are a fast-growing CPA firm with 16 offices across the western U.S. providing tax planning and advisory services supported by audit, bookkeeping, and payroll services. Through strong partnerships with financial advisors and attorneys, we deliver a fully integrated client experience. We are looking for an experienced CPA to add to our dynamic team of tax professionals. This is a high-impact role responsible for preparing and reviewing the most complex tax returns, conducting advanced tax research, and overseeing workflow for tax staff and seniors. A successful Tax Manager applies broad technical knowledge integrated with business advisory skills to deliver accurate, timely, and proactive service to clients while ensuring quality control and profitability across engagements.
Requirements
- Current CPA License
- Minimum 5+ years tax experience
- Someone with a desire and ability to work directly with clients and staff
- High ownership mindset and strong attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of current federal and state tax laws
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns and develop tax strategies for business, fiduciary, and individual tax clients.
- Meet with new and existing clients on a regular basis.
- Utilize exceptional interpersonal skills to form lasting relationships with current clients and create opportunities to expand business with new clients.
- Oversee workflow for tax staff and seniors.
- Conduct advanced tax research.
- Prepare and review the most complex tax returns.
