About The Position

The role coordinates and reviews tax return preparation and advises clients across tax planning, research, compliance, allocations, and transactional activities. The manager oversees assignment scope, plans, resources, progress, and client feedback; contributes to billing, collections, and business development; and coaches staff and senior team members. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline.
At least 4 years of US tax consulting or compliance experience within public accounting.
At least 1 year in a managerial role involving clients and team members.
Qualified to practice before the IRS, such as through a JD, CPA, or EA credential.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.

Responsibilities

Review and coordinate preparation of individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation tax returns.
Advise clients on tax planning, research, compliance, allocations, and general transactional activities.
Review or conduct high-level research on complex or emerging tax issues and prepare memorandums supporting conclusions.
Review and confirm assignment objectives, scope, and work plan with clients.
Identify assignment resource requirements and ensure appropriate resources are assigned to specific roles.
Analyze billing and assist with accounts receivable collections from clients.
Assist with new business development, extended services, and recognition of tax issues for existing clients.
Seek regular client assessments of assignment progress and feedback on performance.
Coach and mentor staff and senior team members on client engagements and career paths.
