About The Position

Wipfli is hiring a Tax Manager focused on real estate tax compliance and consulting. The role leads complex client engagements, provides proactive tax strategy guidance, oversees and reviews tax returns and depreciation schedules, and supports the development of team members. It also collaborates across service lines, contributes to business growth through networking and identifying opportunities, and uses tax technology to improve efficiency and client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• At least 5 years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting.
• Expertise in real estate and partnership taxation.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex real estate tax compliance and consulting engagements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing proactive guidance on tax strategies and industry trends.
• Oversee and review tax returns and depreciation schedules.
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Identify business growth opportunities and participate in networking and industry events.
• Use tax technology tools to enhance efficiency and client service.
