About The Position

CAPTRUST is offering a paid Tax Intern in our Phoenix, AZ office that provides hands-on exposure to the inner workings of a leading wealth management firm with a robust tax practice. From day one, you will gain real world experience in a fast paced, collaborative environment using the most up-to-date office and taxation technology. As a CAPTRUST intern, you will learn from industry experts about tax planning and compliance, client service, meeting preparation, and special projects. This internship is designed to give you practical skills that set you apart in the job market. Completion of the program may lead to future full-time opportunities (though not guaranteed). Flexible hours are available to accommodate your school schedule, and course credit may be possible depending on your program.

Requirements

Actively pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree
Business majors with a focus on accounting and taxation preferred
Strong interest in individual taxation and wealth management
Strong critical thinker and initiative-taker
High-level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Copilot
Excellent communication and writing skills that can translate complex topics for clients or colleagues in a concise and friendly manner
Organized, meticulous and able to multitask
Demonstrate highest standard of ethics, confidentiality, objectivity, and integrity
Team player with a collaborative mindset
Ability to build respectful and trusting relationships with colleagues and clients
Sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner
Adaptable to changing circumstances
