The Finance, Planning and Budgeting (FPB) has an outstanding opportunity for a Tax Compliance Analyst to join the Tax Office. Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Compliance Analyst serves as one of the University's tax compliance resources, conducting compliance analysis, regulatory research, reporting, and risk assessment activities to ensure compliance with applicable university, city, state, and federal tax requirements. The position is responsible for the analysis and preparation of tax documents and returns; researching and interpreting regulatory requirements; assessing compliance risks; working alongside the Tax Director to resolve tax-related inquiries; and providing guidance to University stakeholders. The Tax Compliance Analyst supports compliance education and outreach through the development and maintenance of web-based resources, instructional materials, and training communications. The position evaluates tax compliance processes and controls, recommends corrective actions and process improvements, and contributes to the University's ongoing efforts to maintain effective tax compliance and mitigate regulatory risk.
