About The Position

CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for its Denver location. The anticipated internship runs from January 2027 through April 2027. Interns gain experience working on tax and assurance engagements, learn relevant procedures, workpapers, and systems, and develop industry knowledge through client and peer exposure and formal training. Requirements

Working toward a bachelor’s degree; a degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred.
Achieving the credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam under state requirements.
General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
Gain experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers, and systems.
Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
Expand industry knowledge through exposure to peers and clients and formal training opportunities.
Complete research and special projects as needed.
Communicate effectively and regularly with clients and CLA family members.
