About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who is looking to expand their expertise in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work environment. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax.
  • Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively managing priorities.
  • Must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
  • Candidates with less experience should be available for occasional travel to the Allentown, PA office for training and collaboration.
  • Highly experienced candidates may qualify for a fully remote arrangement with minimal travel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals.
  • Prepare complex individual tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients.
  • Research tax laws and regulations to support compliance and tax planning strategies.
  • Assist with tax planning, consulting engagements, and special projects.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior staff on complex tax and advisory engagements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
  • Stay current on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
