Tasting Room Associate
About The Position
We're looking for an enthusiastic, friendly Tasting Room Associate to join our team in our beautiful Old Forge, NY tasting room. As the face of our winery, you'll welcome visitors, guide them through wine tastings, share the story behind our wines, and help create a fun, relaxed atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy working as part of a team, and love the idea of spending your days in the heart of the Adirondacks, we'd love to hear from you! The Tasting Room staff is involved in daily operations. Job tasks include but are not limited to wine sales, inventory management, customer service, and general housekeeping/maintenance.
Requirements
- Must be a friendly people person with a willingness to work hard
- Customer service experience required
- A desire to work with the public
- Basic mathematical, computer literacy, including POS system/Square
Nice To Haves
- Wine knowledge is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality customer service experience for guests in the tasting room
- Perform tastings for winery guests
- Maintain appropriate display of inventory and wine for retail and tasting purposes
- Maintain the appearance of the tasting room through general upkeep and housekeeping
- Deliver a high-quality customer service experience at off-premises tastings and events
- Use of the POS/Square system to ensure accurate sales of products
- Perform all duties with the highest standard of quality and cleanliness.
- Responsible for the Financial Results of the tasting room
