About The Position
Gray Monk Estate Winery, nestled in British Columbia’s stunning North Okanagan Valley, is a celebrated winery with a rich legacy of producing premium wines. As the birthplace of Pinot Gris in Canada, Gray Monk takes pride in producing this signature varietal alongside an array of other award-winning wines. The winery's stunning vineyard, breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake, and commitment to hospitality make it a premier destination for wine lovers and visitors from around the world. This is a seasonal position, running from mid-April/May to mid-October 2026. The role is for a Wine Educator who will play a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences. As a spirited brand ambassador, the Wine Educator will educate clients about wines, encourage sales, and inspire Wine Club memberships, all while embodying the essence of the brand.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for customer service, with a focus on building lasting relationships.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to make wine education accessible and enjoyable.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- A positive, “Can Do” attitude, especially under pressure.
- Wine knowledge or certifications (e.g., WSET 2/3, ISG/CAPS, CMS) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential!

- Experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Host Memorable Guest Experiences: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and create inclusive introductions.
- Gauge guests' wine knowledge and interests to tailor their experience.
- Present and explain wine flights, sharing engaging stories about our wines, Wine Club, restaurant, events, and exclusive experiences.
- Assist guests with packaging purchases, organizing shipments, and providing information on gift sets and accessories.
- Drive Sales and Memberships: Actively work towards achieving individual and team sales goals.
- Promote Wine Club memberships, encouraging loyalty and ongoing engagement.
