About The Position

Roll Rite, a Safe Fleet company, and a leader in the truck equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for a Tarp Manufacturing associate to work as part of a team for manufacturing of complete tarp systems and assembling of Automated Tarp Systems. This important team member partners with others to manufacture Roll-Rite systems according to company processes. The Tarp Manufacturing associate performs and assembles components for tarp fabrication.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using fractions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist, and talk or hear.

Responsibilities

  • Processing parts.
  • Operate industrial sewing machine, grommet machine, miller roller welder, kabar welder and floor welder.
  • Read a tape measure, use hand tools and semi-automatic manufacturing equipment.
  • Must be able to read manufacturing prints.
  • Read and understand work orders and work instructions.
  • Routine daily cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Confirm quality of product.
  • Prepare product for shipment including packing and labeling products.
  • Maintain product workspace.
  • Ability to cross train in other areas and departments.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and wears proper personal protective equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
