About The Position

As a Target Security Specialist (TSS) at a Target supply chain facility, you will support a safe and secure work environment through best practices and physical security program execution. The role is part of Supply Chain Asset Protection, which protects team members, visitors, and the brand, and mitigates shortage risks by preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud.

You will operate Target-owned vehicles to conduct yard and perimeter patrols, follow emergency procedures and protocols—including notifying building leadership of incidents—and follow procedures for truck gate operations and visitor management. Job duties may change based on business needs.

The currently hiring shift is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Maintain a valid driver's license for the state of employment.
• Meet state or local licensure and other requirements related to the position.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask, respond quickly, and remain calm during crisis situations.
• Prioritize tasks and remain composed in a fast-paced environment while independently completing multiple tasks within established times.
• Be able to work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing patrols and other duties.
• Be able to occasionally lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Operate technology systems with minimal direction after receiving training.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Be able to be trained in and act on de-escalation tactics.
• Be able to safely conduct frequent internal and external patrols.
• Be able to respond quickly and safely to incidents in locations including stairwells, rooftops, the truck yard, mezzanine, areas on or near automation and technology, and trailers.
