About The Position

The Taproom Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading a team, engaging with the community, overseeing retail operations, collaborating with marketing, managing fiscal budgets, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role requires a passion for customer service, community, and the beer industry, with a focus on leading by example and fostering a fun, performance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality or Retail Management or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of retail management experience
  • Proven to be passionate about customer service, community and the beer industry
  • An Intrapreneur: eager to drive results and uses the internal and external resources to learn and build on successes
  • Solid Team Leader: Experience in developing a team, provide guidance and opportunities to enrich their contribution and celebrate the wins. An open and honest leader who is ready to lead by example

Responsibilities

  • Aligning with the Director of Marketing to develop annual taproom sales plans and forecasts.
  • Driving traffic, sales volume, and revenue growth through exceptional in-store experiences, programming, and merchandising.
  • Identifying and activating opportunities to exceed budget targets through community partnerships and local outreach.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the Taproom Assistant Manager, Leads, Enthusiasts, and Dockside team members.
  • Delivering training on product knowledge, service standards, and sales programs.
  • Supporting a fun, motivated, and performance-driven environment.
  • Building strong relationships with community organizations, sports teams, and local businesses.
  • Developing partnerships and promotional opportunities.
  • Overseeing retail inventory, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising.
  • Managing product launches, promotions, and Dockside Draft programs.
  • Maintaining a clean, inviting, and on-brand environment.
  • Ensuring Taproom and Retail offers are accurately represented online.
  • Partnering with Marketing to plan and execute brewery events, tastings, and launches.
  • Contributing to social media and e-news content.
  • Managing fiscal budgets, staffing, and resource planning.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly sales and performance reports.
  • Ensuring accurate sales reporting through TouchBistro.
  • Overseeing Taproom presentation and ensuring a high-quality guest experience.
  • Leading resolution of guest concerns and feedback.
  • Providing hands-on support as needed, including tours, events, and on-floor service.
  • Collaborating with the Sr. Director of Retail to align in-market promotions with Taproom execution.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
