About The Position

This position performs production duties associated with the manufacturing of tape and film products. Future expectations of the qualified individual are to become a coater operator.

Ability to become a licensed forklift operator.
Ability to communicate well with other employees, particularly regarding production issues.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations.
Ability to write routine correspondence and complete production paperwork.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
High School education or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Six weeks related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate production coating equipment.
Perform changeover for different product families including tapes and films.
Load/Unload laminate, liner, and finished coater rolls from coater.
Label finished coater rolls and record production.
Change glue drums and prepare raw material for production.
Verify raw materials are correct according to job order.
Create and load product family recipes for Coater line and Mahlo gaging system.
Complete required paperwork according to Company guidelines.
Examine in-process materials to determine compliance with quality standards.
Sample product and performs quality checks according to Quality Control procedures.
Maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsible for cleanliness of work area and adherence to OSHA regulations.
Cleans equipment on a regular basis and as needed.
Operate forklift to move and store raw materials and finished goods.
Perform regular safety inspections and makes recommendations for improvement.
Recommend improvements to product appearance and flow.
Assists mechanic as required.
Performs other duties assigned by management.
