Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Min. 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours.
Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.
High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push and pull, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move or push /pull up to 55 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to: carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU), foil dispensers, top closers, palletization equipment.
Manual responsibilities include: loading, building and making boxes, hand packaging of bottles, loading labels.
Perform routine cleaning, and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials.
Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks.
Perform changeovers of divers packaging equipment (e.g., case erector, partition inserter, top sealer, …).
Applies correct labels.
Perform quality check consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels, and packaging integrity for defects.
Perform Autonomous maintenance.
Housekeeping.
