About The Position

The Tank Technician ensures proper workmanship across all aspects of the job. The role includes inspecting bins to ensure they meet company standards and are ready for customers, placing decals on bins and trailers, retrofitting parts as needed, and communicating with customers to learn what repairs are needed. The position also involves preparing and installing parts, repairing and testing ISO tanks, maintaining tanks, chassis, and the shop, and conducting assigned equipment inspections. Work may be performed at heights of 8 feet or higher.

Requirements

• Experience with hand and power tools, such as impact drivers, angle grinders, wrenches, ratchets, and hammers.
• Ability to work on chassis brakes, air lines, and lights.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pressure washers, and air compressors.
• Ability to stand on a concrete floor for prolonged periods.
• Ability to climb, bend, and stoop.
• Good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity.

Nice To Haves

• Previous welding experience or willingness to learn.
• Two years of mechanical experience.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts according to work orders.
• Install parts onto ISO tanks according to drawings.
• Repair tanks according to off-lease estimates.
• Perform periodic testing of ISO tanks.
• Work with third-party inspectors.
• Perform general maintenance of ISO tanks, chassis, and the shop.
• Perform daily assigned equipment inspections.
• Inspect bins to ensure they meet company standards and are ready for customers.
• Place decals on bins and trailers and retrofit parts as needed.
• Communicate with customers to determine what repairs need to be made.
• Perform work at heights of 8 feet or higher.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
