About The Position

Tri Rinse is hiring Tank Cleaning Technicians to perform chemical tank trailer, ISO, railcar, and above-ground storage tank cleaning and inspection. The role involves outdoor, physically demanding work in an industrial warehouse environment, with exposure to inclement weather. Employees travel to customer sites, with a home base in Ackley, Iowa; travel may account for 80–100% of the time. Starting pay is $22 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour differential for travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds and perform strenuous physical labor daily.
• Strong reading, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to use hand tools such as a sawzall, drill, or Dremel tool.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school experience.
• Experience in tank cleaning, pressure washing, or maintenance.
• Class A or B driver's license.
• Forklift certification.
• Confined-space rescue training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect chemical tank trailers, ISO containers, railcars, and above-ground storage tanks.
• Disassemble and repair valves, pressure relief devices, and diaphragm pumps using hand tools.
• Perform confined-space entry and work at heights when required.
• Safely use respirators and other safety equipment.
• Handle, mix, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and materials properly.
• Operate power washers, lifts, fall protection, and other industrial equipment.
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE procedures, lockout/tagout, bonding, and grounding.
• Travel to customer sites for work.
