About The Position

Tanger is seeking a Tanger Ambassador to help create a welcoming, engaging shopping experience and promote the center’s brand, programs, and events. The role combines independent work and collaboration in a flexible, Teams-driven workplace. The Ambassador assists shoppers and retailers, shares information about center amenities and promotions, supports marketing events, and provides administrative and operational assistance to the center management team. The position involves engaging with guests throughout the center, helping shoppers use TangerClub and the Tanger Mobile App, distributing promotional materials, collecting customer feedback, and representing Tanger at on-site and off-site events. The Ambassador also helps organize events, documents them through photos or other media, responds to retailer requests, reports center issues, and supports general office and center operations. A flexible schedule—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and the ability to work outdoors are required to accommodate business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or work-related experience.
1–2 years of customer service experience.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English.
Proficiency navigating current and emerging technology and applications, including mobile phones, iPads, and tablets.
Ability to work outdoors promoting marketing initiatives.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to communicate positively, listen carefully, and provide attentive customer service.
Ability to interact professionally and build relationships with shoppers, vendors, and retailers.
Ability to remain current on Tanger marketing initiatives and adhere to Tanger’s values of Integrity, Inclusion, and Innovation.

Nice To Haves

1 year of administrative experience.
Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

Maintain a polished, professional appearance consistent with Tanger’s brand image.
Attend virtual or in-person sessions, webinars, and meetings to develop brand-ambassador knowledge and skills.
Engage and proactively assist guests across the center, promote consumer awareness, maintain a consistent brand voice, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Learn center store locations, amenities, programs, promotional offers, and event details to answer questions and provide customer service to shoppers and retailers.
Prepare and distribute samples, coupons, product information, and other marketing materials.
Collect and record customer feedback and information for internal use and client relations.
Use mobile technology to explain TangerClub benefits, savings opportunities, sales, contests, events, and loyalty perks; help customers sign up and use the Tanger Mobile App.
Represent Tanger at on-site and off-site marketing events, conferences, and trade shows.
Assist with event setup, organization, and breakdown.
Capture and recap promotional events using photos, video, audio, or other media.
Build relationships with retailers and respond appropriately to their requests.
Assist the center management team as needed.
Report center issues or concerns promptly and accurately in accordance with Tanger policies and procedures.
Provide general administrative and clerical support, including office upkeep and organization.
Assist with receiving shipments, routing incoming mail, and preparing outgoing mail and overnight packages.
As needed, help maintain and update emergency notification systems, HVAC and roof logs, center collateral and signage, the center website, vendor check-in, and social media channels.
Assist with training new Brand Ambassadors as needed.
Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
