About The Position

Tanger is seeking a Tanger Ambassador in Huntsville to represent its brand and help create an engaging, welcoming shopping experience. The role combines independent work with collaboration in a flexible, Teams-driven workplace. The ambassador engages shoppers, answers questions, promotes programs and offers, supports marketing events, and helps maintain relationships with retailers and the center management team. The position also provides administrative and operational support, including helping with office upkeep, shipments, mail, center materials, and selected center systems. The ambassador attends training and meetings, stays informed about Tanger initiatives, and may help train new Brand Ambassadors. The role requires a professional appearance, strong customer-service and communication skills, mobile technology proficiency, and a flexible schedule that can include nights, weekends, and holidays. A background check will be conducted.

Requirements

High school diploma or work-related experience.
1–2 years of customer service experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English.
Ability to use and navigate current and emerging technology and applications, including mobile phones, iPads, and tablets.
Ability to work outdoors promoting marketing initiatives.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to communicate effectively using positive language and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and retailers.
Ability to listen carefully, understand customer situations, anticipate needs, and provide high-quality service.
Ability to maintain a polite and patient demeanor and act professionally.
Ability to remain current on Tanger marketing initiatives.
Adherence to Tanger’s values of Integrity, Inclusion, and Innovation.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Maintain a polished and professional appearance aligned with the Tanger brand.
Attend virtual or in-person sessions, webinars, and meetings to develop knowledge and skills as a brand ambassador.
Engage and proactively assist guests across the center, promote consumer awareness, represent the brand consistently, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain knowledge of center stores, amenities, programs, promotions, and events to answer questions and provide customer service to shoppers and retailers.
Prepare and distribute samples, coupons, product information, and other marketing materials.
Collect and record customer feedback and information for internal use and client relations.
Use mobile technology to explain TangerClub benefits, the Tanger Mobile App, savings, sales, contests, events, and loyalty perks; assist customers with sign-up and app questions.
Represent Tanger at on-site and off-site marketing events, conferences, trade shows, and other events.
Help set up, organize, and break down events; document and recap promotional events using photos, video, audio, or other media.
Build retailer partnerships and respond appropriately to retailer requests.
Assist the center management team as needed.
Report center issues or concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Tanger policy and procedures.
Provide administrative and clerical support, including office upkeep and organization.
Assist with receiving shipments, routing incoming mail, and preparing outgoing mail and overnight packages.
As needed, help maintain and update emergency notification systems, HVAC and roof logs, center collateral and signage, the center website, vendor check-in, and social media channels.
Assist in training new Brand Ambassadors as needed.
Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
