About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a Tamil Teacher for a client in New York, United States. This is a freelance, part-time position for a general language course. The format is two-to-one, with a total of 20 hours of instruction, delivered in two-hour sessions. The students are in the beginner/post-beginner level, aged 25-34, and reside in Brooklyn, 11217. The ideal schedule is ideally Mondays at 8:00 am, but other weekdays at 8:00 am are also possible. The course is set to begin in June.

Requirements

• Native Tamil speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
• Experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Valid work permit/visa
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location (Brooklyn, 11217)
• Ability to submit CV with references
• Provide availability
• Provide earliest possible start date

Responsibilities

• Provide customized language training to professionals and private students.
• Teach Tamil language skills to students in Brooklyn, NY.
• Adapt teaching methods to beginner/post-beginner level students.
• Meet with students once per week for two-hour sessions.
